Black Lives Matter
Recent events have made us open our eyes and realise that, when it comes to equality, the world is in far worse of a condition than we thought. Or rather we didn’t like the thought and turned a cheek.
It’s on all of us to affect change, and we hold our hands up, knowing we haven’t done enough to make the world (and the sport) a better place.
Cricket should be a sport available for everyone to play, without prejudice. Regardless of your race, gender, sexuality, wealth or education. If someone wants to pick up a bat, a ball, or even run from fine leg to fine leg, then they should do so with full confidence, knowing it’s a safe environment.
We can do better. We will do better.
Here is a list of resources we can all learn from, and donate to, in a first step towards the fight against racism and understanding that Black Lives Matter.
